Abstract:
Pleurotus sajurcaju mushrooms, also known as Cashew mushroom, are a unique and
flavorful variety with a distinct nutty taste. These mushrooms are highly prized for
their culinary versatility and are often used in gourmet dishes to add a rich and
savory flavor profile.. The Aim Of The Study Was To Evaluate Growth Of P.sajur
Caju On Dif erent Substrate”. The researchers conducted experiments using dif erent
substrates to determine which one would result in optimal growth for this particular
mushroom. The Grown Mycelia Was Transferred To Spawn The Spawn Was Then
Subjected to Dif erent Treatments in Plastic Bags" provides a detailed account of the
process involved in cultivating P.sajur Caju mushrooms. Sample T4 emerged as the
top performer with a cup length of 15.7, cup tissue thickness of 2, stipe tissue
thickness of 2.5, and a substantial fresh weight of 157.7. Samples T7 and T3 also
demonstrated impressive results, with T7 showing a mean value of 22.00+0.22 for
end day mycelium formation and a mean value of 9.33+0.33 for days until the first
harvest after opening of the bags, while T3 exhibited a mean value of 8.11+5.2 for
days taken for pinhead formation. Samples T4 and T5 stood out for their fast
primordial formation on day 13. These findings suggest that further cultivation and
production focus should be placed on sample T4, with potential consideration for
accelerated production using samples T4 and T5. Overall, these results offer valuable
insights for enhancing mushroom cultivation practices and improving yields.
