dc.description.abstract There is no denying that young people are one of the most formidable forces and assets a country needs to develop its economy. However, youth unemployment is a problem that has no received much attention in rural and district areas of Ethiopia. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to investigate the determinants of rural youth unemployment in Case Abuna Gindeberet District, West Shoa zone, and Oromia Regional governmental state. This study was both primary and secondary data sources were utilized. The sample respondents were selected from sample frame by using simple random sampling. 134 sample youths from the fifteen kebeles of Abuna Gindeberet District were determinant by using Kothari formula for questionnaire, and 7 key informant interviews and 2(two) focus group discussions were conducted. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics like binary logistic regression were unemployment were the most commonly used data analysis and narrative analysis was done for qualitative data to meet the stated objective. The descriptive analysis found that 89 percent of the respondent were unemployment while 11 percent of them were parent have small jobs. Binary logit model analysis indicated that Age, Sex, and Educational level affected rural youth unemployment positively and significantly whereas the variable family size, Access to credit and savings services, Access to job information, Training participation, Migration Status, affected rural youth unemployment negative and significantly and other variables are statistically significant. The study suggests that local government and other stakeholders should consider these predictor variables when they discuss the issue of rural youth unemployment and also create conducive investment in agricultural land and the area of NGOs. They must create. The district administration should provide special consideration for non migrants and male youths. The youth development package should be well implemented by those rural sectors. Furthermore, the government should take preventive measures so that economy of the country can easily accommodate the job seeking youths en_US
