dc.description.abstract The objective of this research is Pre assessment of employee perception and participation on gender equity in woreda 11 Administration women children and social office, by taking the cases of Nifassilk lafto sub city, Addis Ababa. To meet the objective of this research data were collected from primary and secondary sources. The primary data gathered through sets of questionnaires distributed 70 purposively selected woreda 11 Administration management level and employees. This study, therefore, focused to assess the current employee perception and participation on gender equity application in Nifassilk Lafto woreda 11 women children and social office practices and recommend on identified gaps. The study, sampling group members are selected on non-random manner, therefore each population member has get chance to participate in the study. Non-probability sampling methods include purposive, sampling methods. In this perspective the study analyzes the employee perception and participation on gender equity progress. The finding shows that the number of women on top and middle level management is extremely low, on top of this there is very little know how on gender and participation awareness among staff members, budget limitation, limitation of expertise, busy days by their duty of top level management, lack of commitment, skill gaps are main problems. Finally, based on the findings and the conclusion drawn, recommendations were forwarded to the woreda 11 women children and social office to conduct gender analysis to identify the real gaps and challenges to bring staffs participation on gender equality at all level, and women staff members at top-level management to mainstream gender equality in all sectors. In addition to this, recommended to have a separate department or unit who will be fully engaged to address employee participation and contribution under women children and social office. en_US
