This study was examined the relationship between principals leadership styles and teachers’ job
satisfaction in government secondary schools of Gulele sub-city administration. To achieve the purpose,
descriptive design was employed; using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Simple random
and purposive sampling techniques were used. The research was analyzed by using frequency,
percentage, mean, standard deviation and the correlation coefficient using the Statistical Package for
the Social Science (SPSS version 26). A total of 202 teachers were selected through random sampling
technique (by using lottery method) to participate in the study. The finding of the study shows that, the
relationship between principals leadership style and teachers job satisfaction in government secondary
school was lack trained, low teachers participation in decision making low teachers motivation low
teachers satisfaction, low involvement in any activities and no fully practiced transformational leadership
style. On the basis of these findings the researcher provided such recommendations that school principals
should aware of the importance of transformation of leadership style, act as a leader but not, as manage,
and try to display it in their daily activities, endeavors involving different stakeholders such as principals,
teachers and government organization. |
