Factor Affecting The Financial Performance Of Ethiopian Electric Utility

Abstract

Objective: The general objective of the study is to make an assessment the factors affecting the financial performance of Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU).Research Design: In this study, the researcher used both descriptive and explanatory research designs. The motive behind using descriptive research design is that, it provides a picture of a situation, person or event or show how things are related to each other and as it naturally occurs. Target of Population Study: Population is the list of elements which the sample may be drawn (John, 2019). The target population of the study will be Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU). Sampling Techniques: purposive sampling is often used when working with small samples and when we wish to select cases that are particularly informative. In order to obtain representative data, non-probabilistic or purposive sampling technique will employ in this study. The target population of the study will be Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU). Data Sources: In this study secondary data sources will be employed. For the purpose of this study, secondary data source will be used to achieve the objective of the research. The data will be included EEU financial statement and World Bank reports. Methods of Data analysis: After the data will be collected, it will be organized and financial ratios will be computed. And then, it wills analysis to achieve the stated objectives. Descriptive statistics will be used to analyze the general trends of the data from 2018 to 2023
