This study explores The Effect of team member project team competency on Project Success within the headquarters of Walabu Construction Share Company. The study evaluated specific Competency dimension: Project team member selection process, Project team member performance appraisal& process, project team member training & development, Recognition & reward system practice. Despite its importance, there is a lack of comprehensive understanding regarding the specific mechanisms through which team member project team competency affects Project Success. The research used primary data through distributing questionnaire to Walabu Construction Share Company head quarter workers. Explanatory and descriptive research design and mixed approach adopted. Quantitative type of research approach was used a population of 102 using census sample size and all the distributed 102 questionnaires 102 (100 %) respondents completed and returned the questionnaire quantitative research approach and explanatory and descriptive research designs were utilized. Qualitative insights were gathered from in-depth interviews to contextualize the quantitative findings and understand practical implications. The findings of the study explained on this research through descriptive, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The result indicate that Competency of Independent variables of project success has the most substantial impact, followed by Project team member selection process, Project team member performance appraisal& process, project team member training & development, Recognition & reward system practice.. This implies that independent variable has positive effect on project success and also the Hypothesis result of this study show three independent variables accepted / supported and the significant value [P-Value] above 0.05 with the exception Project team member performance appraisal& process, project team member training & development. From all the above findings it is recommended that those insignificant traits like project team member training & development has to be corrected by the WCSHC head quarter, whereas Project team member selection process, project team member training & development, Recognition & reward system practice since it shows significant effect it has to be maintained by making sure that those in leadership positions are conversant with the organization’s mission and to understand help others to understand those Competency of strategic intent and direction |
