Abstract:
Thus, the main objective of this study was to examine the effect of work overload on employee job satisfaction in commercial bank of Ethiopia Ambo branch. Generally, the study aims to study factors that affecting employee job satisfaction. Specifically, it aims to examine effect of work overload on employee job satisfaction and to determine factors employee job satisfaction. This research was carried out through descriptive and explanatory research design, with a focuses on CBE Ambo branch employees and mainly based on data collected through questionnaires and interview. Data were collected from 57 sample respondents were selected from target population. For the investigation, both primary and secondary data were employed. The primary data was collected using questionnaires and interviewing guide. The study was analyzed in quantitative study approaches, questionnaire with five point Likert scale used for quantitative explanation which were filled by Bank employer, and finally, it was processed and analyzed by (SPSS) version 25 and the other statistical methods including descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The descriptive and inferential statistical tools such as; percentage, correlation and multiple regressions were used to analyze collected data. Based on a finding of regression analysis result, except training all the independent variables had relatively strong significant and direct effect on employee job satisfaction with p value <0.05. Based on the research results, it is recommended for the employer must improve finance, have to take more rest, improve policy and management system.
