The purpose of this study was to assess the role of organizational culture on employees’
commitment; in the case of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Kolfe district. In order to
realize this objective, this study used descriptive and inferential research design, mixed
research approach and to select representative sample, simple random sampling was
employed. Questionnaire and interview were used as data gathering instruments. The
researcher used stratified and convenience sampling method of data collection. The study
analyzed the collected data through descriptive statistics by using Statistical package for
social science Version 29 software. Based on findings, the higher accumulated mean
score of consistency exposed that employees strongly agreed with the measure of clear
and consistent set of values that govern the way the organization do its business and
adaptability had more relationship with employees commitment than others. The other
organizational culture dimensions were ranked depending on their correlation level from
most correlated positive and statistically significant role on employees‟ commitment.
Relatively, involvement had less positively correlated with employees‟ commitment. The
study recommended that, the organization has to continue in involvement of employees in
decision and practice better agility for detected challenges. |
