dc.description.abstract The objective of this study was to analyze the determinants of improved agricultural technology adoption in certain kebeles of Ambo woreda, West shoa zone of Oromia region, Ethiopia. A sample of 332 households comprised of 160 adopters and 172 non- adopters, were selected by using multistage sampling procedure from eight kebeles found in Ambo woreda. Gosu Kora, Boji Gabbisa, Illamu Mujja, Baya kurbi, Illamu Goromti, Amaro , Illamu Jallina and Kiba kube the selected kebeles teff productivity cultivated by adopters and non-adaptors in the production year of 2023/24. The study used descriptive statics such as mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage, t-test, and chi-square test methods for data analysis. A parametric estimation of Logit model were employed. The study used a logit model to identify factors affecting adoption of agricultural technology on. The results revealed that educational level, gender, age, educational level, total number livestock owned, extension contact and access to credit were significantly affect adoption decision of teff productivity. The result of impact of teff row planting, improved seed, fertilizer and pesticides were technology adoption shows that, households that used agricultural technology tend to get more teff yield relative to from non-adaptors. The study has also indicated that adopting of technology had a potential of increasing farm household’s income. Governmental and non-governmental organizations such as Woreda Agricultural office as well as Agricultural research centers and different supporters of agricultural sector in the study area should give due attention for adoption of agricultural technology and minimize teff disease problem in the study area. en_US
