dc.description.abstract This study on the determinants of women's economic empowerment in Holeta Town, Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia sheds light on the significant factors influencing women's ability to make independent economic choices. The findings highlight key determinants such as education level, employment status, access to resources and credit, income level, age at marriage, family size, violence against women, and access to public infrastructure. The use of a cross-sectional study design with data collected from 338 randomly selected women in the study area provides valuable insights into the specific challenges faced by women in Holeta Town. Both primary data collected through structured questionnaires and secondary data obtained from various sources, including the Holeta Town administration office, contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing women's economic empowerment. The employment of descriptive and Econometric data analysis, particularly through the Multinomial Logit Model, helps identify and quantify the significance of the relationship between dependent and independent variables. Based on the study's findings, recommendations are made for both governmental and nongovernmental organizations to prioritize initiatives aimed at enhancing women's economic empowerment. The study finds Empowering women with access and control over assets, such as land and income, will give them a voice and vote in household decisions. This empowerment enhances women's selfconfidence and allows them to contribute significantly to society's sustainable development. These recommendations may include reforms to promote access to education, employment opportunities, resources, and credit for women. Additionally, efforts to address issues such as violence against women and improve access to public infrastructure can contribute to creating an environment conducive to women's economic empowerment. Overall, this study underscores the importance of addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by women in achieving economic empowerment. By implementing the recommended actions, policymakers and organizations can work towards fostering sustainable improvements in women's economic empowerment in Holeta Town and beyond en_US
