| dc.description.abstract | Background : Lifestyle practices are certain activities practiced by an individual as a routine which directly or in directly influen ces the health and wellbeing. Practicing a healthy lifestyle reduces the risk of all cause mortality. Objectives: To assess prevalence of healthy lifestyles practices and associated factors among adults in Muger town, Adea berga, west Shoa Zone, Oromia, E thiopia, 2024. Methods : Community based cross sectional study was conducted among Adults in Muger town, from April 15 to June15/2024. The final sample size was 365. T he Systematic sampling technique was used to select the study participant. A pretest was c onducted on 5% of total sample size b efore study was started to evaluate readability, understandability, completeness, and reliability of the questionnaire and ratified accordingly. Data were collected by interview administered questionnaire and entered in to Epi data Version 4.7, finally exported to SPSS version 26 for analysis. Binary logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify factors a ssociated with outcome variable and p value of less than 0.05 was taken as cut off point to declare statistica l si gnificance. Adjusted odds ratio with 95% CI was used for predicting the independent effect of each variable on the outcome variable. Results: Out of 365 participants, the response rate was 99% and 54% (95%CI: 48.4, 58.8) participants practiced healthy lifestyle. Participant those have primary education level (AOR=0 .39, 95%CI: 0.19, respondents who had favorable attitude (AOR= 1.7(1.79, 2.97), former smoking participants (AOR=0.02, 95% CI: 0.001, 0.63) and Participants those who did physical activi ty 150.0 to 300.0 minute per week (AOR=2.98, 95% CI: 1.06, 9.72 ) were associated with healthy lifestyle practices Conclusion: The study found that healthy lifestyle practices were good and showed that above | en_US |
