“The Practice Of Supply Chain Management And Its Effect On Organizational Performance: In Case Of Dangote Cement Factory, Mugher, Oromia, Ethiopia‟‟

Abstract

The cement industry has expected to play significant role in terms of supplying variety of cement products for the booming construction and infrastructure development. The general objective of the study was to analyze practice of supply chain management and its effect on organizational performance in cement manufacturing industry: the case of Dangote Cement Company in Ethiopia. This study used both the descriptive type of research, which helps to use quantitative research for data analysis. Close ended Likert style questioners was distributed to collect data from the selected employees. The sampling methods under this study were Probability sampling particularly stratified sampling technique was used. The study used both Primary as well as Secondary data for the research and analysis. Survey questionnaires were distributed to the sample respondents. Out of a total number of 400 employees in the organization, 200 respondents were got questionnaires’. The finding of the study reveals that the coefficient of Supplier Relationship has a β value of .153 (positively affect) where significant at .003 and it helps for the growth of organizational performance significantly, The coefficient of quality of information has a β value of .423 with a significant at .000 and All the independent variables have a positive relationship with dependent variable with significant level. Finally the researcher recommend, sincerely the study reveals the DCF plc. The coefficient of Supplier Relationship has a β value of .153 (positively affect) where significant at .003 and it helps for the growth of organizational performance, the organization should foster the practice to get maximum profit and growth through smooth relationship with its customer.
