Data were collected for quantitative purposes using a self-administered questionnaire and, key informant interviews for qualitative data. For the quantitative part, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and binary logistic regression. The association between study variables and explanatory variables was checked using bivariable and multivariable binary logistic regression, and the adjusted odds ratio with a 95% confidence interval and statistical significance was set at a p-value of 0.05. For the qualitative part, the data were analyzed thematically. The findings was presented in the form of narratives, cross tabulations, tables, and graphs. Result:This study, revealed that the magnitude of good utilization of the district health information system among health professional was 45.5%.However, in the multivariable binary logistic regression, only three variables; Attitude (AOR= 1.92 (95% CI: 1.03, 3.58)), Skill (AOR= 1.64 (95 % CI: 1.07, 2.51),and Organizational support (AOR=2.51 (95% CI: 1.60, 3.94)) were significantly associated with utilization of district health information system at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion: The study shows that health professionals employed by public health facilities use DHIS at a low.Providing regular supportive supervision and feedback, having good skills on district health information system use, high motivation and being trained on district health information system will help to bring good utilisation of district health information system for decision making. en_US
