dc.description.abstract A coupled Autonomous thermal machine and e ciency at maximum power as its working substance were studied.The power and e ciency of the heat engine are derived analytically as function of the intermidiate temperature.Using the optimization methods suggested by A.C Hermandez et:al,the heat engine is e ectively optimized and found to yield better working conditions within a certain range of intermidiate temperatures.The gure of merit,de ned as a product of scaled power and scaled e ciency,is found to be greater than unity in range of 0 To 0.26.Under this condition,the gure of merit is found to be less than unity in the range of 0.26 < To 2.This means that within some range of the intermediate temperature ,the engine performs better under optimized conditions,whereas in other ranges,it performs better under maximum power conditions." en_US
