dc.description.abstract The main objective of this study was to investigate the ―Effect of Saccos on Economic Empowerment of Women in Adea Barga District, West Shoa Zone, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia”. The dimensions of SACCO’s Cooperative examined in this study were Savings Accounts of women, Loans and Credit, Financial Education, Investment Opportunities and Dividend Paid to Members parametric on Economic Empowerment of Women. Both Descriptive and explanatory research design with Quantitative research approach used for this study. Probability sampling techniques particularly cluster and simple random sampling method was used to enables the researcher to use his discretion in selecting samples from the target population. Using a total of 36 questionnaires; the primary data was collected from 186 respondents. The data was collected by using 5 point Likert Scale type questionnaire and then the collected data were analyzed using SPSS Version 25. The findings of the research indicate that the majority of the employees/respondents in SACCO’s Cooperative are averagely satisfied by their Savings Accounts of women, Loans and Credit, Investment Opportunities and Dividend Paid to Members parametric but, there is less Financial Education given for respondents.. From the result of the analysis it was concluded that there was strong positive and significant correlation between dimensions of SACCO’s Cooperative and overall Economic Empowerment of Women; since the SACCO’s Cooperative variables included in this study explained by 82.1% of the variability of the Economic Empowerment of Women. Based on the findings, the researcher recommended that, Adea Barga District’ SACCO’s Cooperative be supposed to strive to involve and improve its Savings Account of women, Loans and Credit, Financial Education , Investment Opportunities and Dividend Paid to Members as well for its members to create long term agreement with key customers to set reliability, responsiveness, and other standard work for the Cooperative, to be informed on the changing needs in order to improve their understanding with their trading partners and to work on SACCO’s Cooperative on improving the Economic Empowerment of Women. en_US
