dc.description.abstract This study adopted descriptive survey and cross sectional method to explore the Socio economic challenge of street children in Ambo town. This research is both qualitative and quantitative in terms of its tools of data collection methods. It is analyzed through textual methods for qualitative research approach and STATA version 15.0 and statistical statistics for quantitative approach, and was used to analyze the data, like frequency, percent, and the profit model were employed. The study revealed that the major causes that forced children to join the street are father-mother conflict, poverty, unemployment, underemployment, political insecurity, escaping abusive parental punishment, hatred of stepparents, and parental alcoholic behavior. The study identified five distinct changes: social, economic, educational, cultural, and political. The children of Ambo, who reside on the streets, have been subjected to grave and pervasive violations of their human rights. Road changes, the socioeconomic circumstances of homeless children, and the difficulties these children face is considered in order to address the socioeconomic severity of children living on the streets. Lastly, the Ambo City Office small and micro micros, along with NGOs and other volunteer groups in the area, ought to give the homeless children work opportunities, foster their creativity, and reunite them with their families. en_US
