The general purpose of the study was to examine the impact of psychological factors affecting short, medium and long distance athletes at Omedla Sports Club. A cross-sectional design was applied to achieve the proposed study of athletes at Omedla Athletic Club. Both primary and secondary data sources were used. In this study, sports experts, officers and coaches were selected using census technique and 65 athletes, 35 male and 30 female. The data was collected through questionnaire, interview, observation and document analysis. Standardized questionnaires were used to ensure content reliability and research validity was utilized. The data collected was analyzed through descriptive and tabular statistics. The findings indicate that the athletes in the Omedla Sports Club are very affected by athletic stress, which indicates the lack of psychological skills training strategies by the authorities. They show that they give the highest place to physical self-presentation, then situational comfort and physical and mental preparation; mastery and showing skills are of great importance to athletes. They have. Compared to the other components, vitae experience and environmental comfort appear to be least important. Finally, the researcher has received research recommendations and sports professionals, officers and coaches should seek to improve their knowledge of psychological skills during competition.
