Abstract:
This research explores the crucial role of communication channels in influencing women's 
participation and contribution to the agricultural sector. the study establishes a positive and 
statistically significant relationship between effective communication channels and increased 
involvement of women in agricultural activities. The study shows a crucial dimension by 
exploring the inverse relationship between communication channels and challenges faced by 
women. The findings underscore the transformative potential of effective communication is not 
only increasing women's involvement and contribution but also is addressing and reducing the 
obstacles they encounter. The majority of respondents have seen some improvement due to 
women’s participation in the agricultural sector, there is a need to address the concerns of 
those who have seen no improvement or a decline. This could involve identifying and 
addressing the barriers to women’s participation and ensuring that their contributions are 
recognized and valued. the study identified challenges that women commonly encounter in 
agricultural activities. The data indicates a significant involvement of married individuals in 
the agricultural sector in the Walmara District. It would be beneficial to explore the 
underlying reasons for this distribution and how it impacts the agricultural practices and 
outcomes in the region. This could provide valuable insights for policy-making and planning 
for future agricultural development programs.
