Abstract:
This research explores the crucial role of communication channels in influencing women's
participation and contribution to the agricultural sector. the study establishes a positive and
statistically significant relationship between effective communication channels and increased
involvement of women in agricultural activities. The study shows a crucial dimension by
exploring the inverse relationship between communication channels and challenges faced by
women. The findings underscore the transformative potential of effective communication is not
only increasing women's involvement and contribution but also is addressing and reducing the
obstacles they encounter. The majority of respondents have seen some improvement due to
women’s participation in the agricultural sector, there is a need to address the concerns of
those who have seen no improvement or a decline. This could involve identifying and
addressing the barriers to women’s participation and ensuring that their contributions are
recognized and valued. the study identified challenges that women commonly encounter in
agricultural activities. The data indicates a significant involvement of married individuals in
the agricultural sector in the Walmara District. It would be beneficial to explore the
underlying reasons for this distribution and how it impacts the agricultural practices and
outcomes in the region. This could provide valuable insights for policy-making and planning
for future agricultural development programs.
