Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to examine factors affecting employees’ performance in
the case of Dano District Public Service Sectors. Data was gathered from seven public
service sectors in Dano District. The research is quantitative research approach. Primary
data was collected using respondents with N=154, the respondents were selected using
cluster (Administration cluster, Development cluster and social cluster) sampling
technique and from each sectors selects lottery system and analysis. The independent
variables are leadership, working environment, training and monitoring and evaluation
whereas the dependent variable is employees’ performance. The data analysis was on
descriptive and inferential statistics and further by use of regression model run on
Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27. The primary data gathered in
the form of questionnaires with a Likert typed-scale were then analyzed using the
multiple regression method. The correlation result indicated that there were positive
relationship between all of independent variables and the dependent variable. This
implies that any increase or decrease on the independent variable will bring
corresponding change on employees’ performance. And it’s found that the independent
variables has an 82.8% influence on the dependent variable while the remaining 17.2% is
influenced by factors which are not covered in this study. Therefore, the public service
sectors should periodically review by district public service and human resource
development office on the practice of leadership, working environment, training and
monitoring and evaluation in order to improve the limitation and to identify its
effectiveness on employees’ job performance.
