dc.description.abstract The present study focused on the physico-chemical drinking water analysis in Babich Town, Liben Jaw District, West Shoa zone, Oromia region, Ethiopia. Water samples points were taken from three different springs, two different reservoirs and two different tap water at seven points in May, 2023 to study the water analysis status of different physico- chemical parameters and suitability for use. Physical parameters drinking water analyzed were Temperature, Turbidity; Total dissolved solid, Electrical conductivity and pH. FAAS was used for Fe, Potassium and Sodium content analysis in the water samples. Spectrophotometer was used for phosphate analysis, while the Rest was done by titration method. The water Temperature (18.00-23.00℃), pH (6.81-7.42),Electric Conductivity(140.4-0190.601µs/cm),Total dissolved solid (93.10-126.00mg/L), Dissolved oxygen (10.54- 11.90mg/L), Total Hardness (124.00-188.00mg/L),Phosphate (17.91-36.02mg/L), Chloride (49.98-111.97mg/L), Sodium (20.5-32.5mg/L), Potassium (2.9 -5.3mg/L), Calcium (16.00-40.00mg/L), Magnum (10.68-33.05mg/L), Sulphates (73.81-188.47mg/L), Iron (0.30.165mg/L) and Turbidity (1.04-9.80NTU).33.05mg/L), Sulphates (73.81- 188.47mg/L), Iron (0.31-0.165mg/L) and Turbidity (1.04-9.80NTU). One-way ANOVA tests and spears man pairwise correlation matrix between physico-chemical parameters also revealed considerable variation across all assessed parameters. Furthermore, the results showed that, with the exception of a few physical parameters like temperature in all spring water and turbidity, the physicochemical quality of the sampling points were within the permissible limit of ESA, WHO and Ethiopian allowable limit for drinking water analysis. Spring water is very susceptible to pollution due to a variety of anthropogenic activities, including agricultural activity, land gradation, mineral types and deforestation near springs, pressure pipe quality, and inadequate reservoir cleanliness. The community is thus dependent on low water use, and the water's ecology and geology are negatively impacted. For these reasons, special attention should be given to these polluted sources for sustainable management of the quality if the sources for the SD sustainable health of the community relaying on these sources. en_US
