dc.description.abstract Land plays a pivotal role in the life of the people of Ethiopia and the development of its economy. Sound land administration helps people to secure property rights for their homes. An efficient land market encourages investment and economic growth. The Government of Ethiopia (GOE) gives high priority to the sustainable use and management of land and its proper governance in the nation’s agenda for food security, poverty reduction, and accelerated economic growth to achieve the status of a middle-income country. The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of efficient land administration on economic growth of Addis Ababa City Administration. This study uses a quantitative and qualitative research approach with a cross-sectional study design. A total of 266 legitimate questionnaires were used for this study from 295 employees who were selected randomly from six sub cities of Addis Ababa city and 29 questions were not returned and not used. SPSS version 23 had been used for data entry and analysis. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. For this purpose, frequency tables, percentages, means and standard deviations were computed and substantively interpreted. Inferential statistics like Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used to determine the degree of relationships exist between independent and dependent variable. The results indicate that there are positive and statistically significant relationship between efficient land administration and institutional structure with economic growth. Multiple regressions were used to analyses the impact of independent variables on dependent variable. The findings demonstrated that land preparation and supply, land valuation, institutional capacity and human resource capacity had positive and statistically significant impact on economic growth of Addis Ababa city administration. en_US
