Abstract:
Communication acts as a link between decision-makers and all employees. When poorly carried
out, communication has been said to cause interpersonal conflict in organizations. The overall
objective of this study is to examine the effects of effective communication on organizational
performance in Holeta town Administrative. This research was conducted by using descriptive
research design, for finding the effect of effective communication as a strategy for enhancing
organizational performance. In this research, the research approach that was followed was a
mixed method research approach, quantitative and qualitative. The sample sizes were 272
respondents by simple random sampling techniques that determined using Yamane’s formula
(1967) were conducted. Effective communication has an impact in an organizational
performance. From this survey effective listing, environment, level preparation and nonverbal
communication were factors reduce performance organization. Thus, those factors affect
effective communication in their work place, respondents free to express their concerns to
organizational leaders and the organization created sufficient opportunity for peer-to-peer
communication respectively. It is evident that the objectives of this study have met to a great
extent the effectiveness of communication in an organization which creates a significant impact
in the effectiveness and efficiency of the organizational performance. Management should ensure
that managers and staff up skill themselves in the area of effective and proactive communication,
employee can be sent on training or take advantage of virtual learning platforms. Organizations
should have a well-developed and widely accepted policies and procedures that will guide and
control the organizational system and process of communication.
