Abstract:
Leadership is the process of inspiring, to others to work hard for achievement of organizational
objectives. And it’s vital for making cooperation, integration, working environment suitable to
the work force. The major objective of this study is to determine the leadership practice and
organizational performance in Garad Metal Engineering Plc. Oromia, Ethiopia. This study used
both descriptive and explanatory research designs. Both qualitative and quantitative research
methods were used to analyze the data collected. The sampling methods under this study were
Purposive and stratified sampling techniques. Survey questionnaires were distributed to the
sample respondents. Out of a total number of 169 employees in the organization, 119
respondents were got questionnaires’. The finding of the study reveals that the democratic
leadership practice is exists in the survey area having a positive effect and is helpful for the
consistency of theorganizational performance.The autocratic leadership practicehaving a
negative effect and is hinderingthe organizational operation where the laissez-faire were not
significant to the improvement of the organization at all.Finally, The researcher recommend
that,it is mandatory to fostering the democratic leadership in the organization and training the
leadership team, developing them through different leadership concepts for better achievement
of organizational objective
