The ultimate goal of this thesis was to assess the Causes and Rehabilitation of Soccer
Injury among Male Football Players in case of West Showa Higher League, football
clubs. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 136 Male football Players by census
sampling technique from April 1 - 30/ 2023. Data was collected by using a pre tested and
structured questionnaire and observational checklist from West Showa higher League
Football Club. The collected data was coded, edited, and entered in to Epi-data version
4.6 then exported to SPSS version 25 for analysis. Both descriptive and analytical
statistics was done and displayed by text, tables and figures. The linear regression model
was fitted.The standardized coefficient of beta value has been used to compare the
contribution of each independent variable since all they are measured in the same scale.
Training error, Facility and equipment’s, Lack of Environmental Factors and severity of
injury in their respective values of standardized beta (-0.418, 0.357, -0.379, 0.797) are
importantly contributing to soccer injury of the players in order. the multiple regression
coefficient indicates that independent variables better predict the dependent variables is
better way and since, R2 =0 .249, 75% of the variation in severity of soccer injury is
explain better variation of the four causes of soccer injury. Fifty four percent of the
participants got proper rehabilitation mechanism. From the finding of this research
seventy five percent of the variation in severity of soccer injury is explained better
variation of the four causes of soccer injury. Training error, Facility and equipment’s,
Lack of and Environmental Factors are the significant predictors of soccer injury.. As a
result, the researcher has recommended creating the awareness for players to follow the
right principles of training like warming up before game. Players should have to use the
right sport shoes, fit for their leg and pain-free different shoe for different training
programs. Educate the players to take enough rest and sleep, proper nutrition,
rehydration like drinking plenty of water before, during and after the training and
competition. Players and coaches using the right environment for training and
competition avoid soccer training and competition during the extremely hot, rain,
humidity and cold season. |
