dc.description.abstract Background: - Male partner involvement in antenatal care is the participation of male partner which starts from accompanying their wife to antenatal care clinic. Involving male partner in antenatal care of their pregnant woman is a global challenge, which is their participation is limited, in Africa male partner involvement in antenatal care is low .In Ethiopia less than 20% of male partner is involved in antenatal care of their wives. Objective:-The study is aimed to identify the determinants of male partner involvement in antenatal care among pregnant women attending health facility in Meta Robi district of West Shoa ,zone Oromia ,2023 . Method:-A Facility based unmatched case-control study was conducted among a total of 416 study participants (80 cases and 336 controls) from January1, 2023toMarch30, 2023 G.C. Data were collected by pre-tested structured, interviewer-administered questionnaire. The study participants were selected by systematic random sampling technique from the health centers. Data was checked for their completeness, entered in to Epi info version 7 and was exported to SPSS Version 20 software .To identify the determinants of male partner involvement in antenatal care, binary multivariable logistic regression model was used. The model fitness were checked using Homers and Lemeshow test. The test result showed hosmer and Lemshow test of 0.987 and statistical significance were declared at P<0.05. Result: This study revealed that being lived in urban kebele (AOR=3.8, 95%CI (2.906, 4.57), distance of health facility less 5 Km from home (AOR=4.2,95%CI(1.89,2.67), having media exposure (AOR=4.2,95%CI(1.891,3.2)and male partners invitation(AOR=0.23(3.513,6.704),house hold income of 5000-1000 EBR(AOR=1.75,95% CI(3.872,5.649) were determinants of male partner involvement in antenatal care Conclusion and recommendation : - Residence of the pregnant women, educational status of pregnant women, media exposure, nearby health facility, male partner invitation to antenatal care clinic by health provider and house hold income were determine male partner involvement in antenatal care and promoting male partner invitation to antenatal care, making antenatal care clinic friendly for male, improving house hold income, promoting to attend media and government needs to build health facility near to community are encouraging male partner involvement in antenatal care . en_US
