Effect of temperature and dopant concentration on magnetic properties of manganese doped
diluted magnetic semiconductor (Cd1−xMnxSe) was investigated theoretically by making
use of the equation of motion approach of the Green’s function formalism. Heisenberg
type model Hamiltonian was developed and solved. Theoretical expressions which relate
magnon number, magnon heat capacity, magnetization of the system and Curie temperature
with temperature and concentration (x = 0.05, x = 0.06, x = 0.07) were derived from the
obtained Green’s function. The obtained results revealed the rise in magnon number and
their heat capacity with respect to temperature. However, these parameters were observed to
be supressed by increasing concentration of the dopant atom. Magnetization of the system
was observed to decrease with increasing temperature. We also observed that increasing
the dopant concentration the enhances magnetization and hence the ferromagnetic critical
temperature.
