This research has been conducted in the Sululta woreda of Oromia regional State of Ethiopia with a
general objective of assessing the role of entrepreneurial skill on the growth of small and medium
Enterprises. The aim of this study was to assess the Role of entrepreneurial skill on the growth of small
and medium enterprisesin case of combines data of this study was taken from a sample of 301
entrepreneurial and employees from randomly selected kebele in the Sululta Woreda. To achieve the
objective of the study both qualitative and quantitative methods of data analysis were used. Explanatory
and Descriptive statistics such as percentage,means,frequencies, mean, standard
deviation,percentages, inferential statistics correlation, regression, graphs, charts, etc. were also
used and to assessed the magnitude and direction of the association between the dependent variable of
entrepreneurial skills tenure and independent variables analysis was used. SPSS- 22 was used to enter
the data into the computer for analysis.The questionnaires for this study distributed for 316
entrepreneurs and office workers in the randomly selected kebele in the Sululta Woreda and
301(95.25%) were gave their response. The survey result reveals that the entrepreneurial skills is
increasing the pragmatic growth of SMEs, encourage the socio-economic life of individuals, forced to
evict the poorness and backwardness of economic prosperity in the study area.Therefore, it was
recommended that responsible bodies better to pay attention to the issue of improving the current
problem of entrepreneurial skill on the growth of small and mediumenterprises in the Sululta woreda. It
is important to re-design the program of the SMEsgrowthand implementation; it is better to giving
priority job opportunity to skilled entrepreneurialand unemployment to create sustainable economic
growth of SMEs through job creation opportunity, combining with Entrepreneurial skills like Personal
characteristics, Interpersonal skills,Critical and creative Thinking skills and Practical skills.
Overall, a case study shows thatentrepreneurial skills on the growth of SMEs has a clear approach
towards adoption of entrepreneurial skill for growth and consider the entrepreneurial skill roleas a vital
contributor for the growth of SMEs. |
