The Effects Of Employees Motivation On Productivity (In Case Of Dangote Cement, Ethiopia Plc)

Abstract

Motivation refers to a complexity of forces that inspires a person at work to intensify his desire and willingness to use his potentialities to perform in order to achieve organizational goals or objectives. This study investigated the impacts of employee’s motivation on productivity in case of Dangote cement Plc., Ethiopia plc. Besides the effects the major objective, the study has specifically assessed motivation practices and employee productivity in Dangote Cement plc. Ethiopia on employee’s Productivity. To achieved the stated objectivity a quantitative research approach and descriptive and an explanatory research design were used. Also to realize the objectives a structured questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection from 260 respondents that randomly selected for the research work. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics like frequency distribution, percentages, mean and standard deviation and presented by table and pie chart statistical tools were used to analyze the primary data while to answer the effects of motivation practices on employee’s productivity a multiple regression analysis was applied. The findings revealed that monetary rewards. Opportunity of personal growth, workplace environment and empowerment less influence productivity but statistically significant finally, this study recommends that management should need to focus on proper use of recognition and empowerment as a significant motivation technique besides the other means of motivation since these two technique do not add cost to the organization but employee more productive and loyal to the organization.
