dc.description.abstract Background: To increase the institutional childbirth rate and promote the utilization of postnatal care, care should focus on maintaining client satisfaction. Even if the government is making good efforts to improve institutional delivery, the quality of the services offered by health institutions still falls short of expectations, and the satisfaction of mothers is a persistently difficult problem. Objective: To assess maternal satisfaction status towards delivery service and associated factors at health facilities in Waliso town, Oromia Regional state of Ethiopia, 2023. Methods: The study was carried out at Public health facilities in Waliso town. An institution-based cross-sectional study was employed. A systematic random sampling technique was used to select 358 mothers who attended delivery services in health facilities during data collection. Quantitative data was collected through a structured questionnaire and face to face interview, while in-depth interview was conducted among purposively selected mothers. Data analysis was done using a binary logistic regression model and variables with p-value ≤0.25 were entered to multivariable logistic regression. To identify factors associated with maternal delivery service multivariable logistic regression was employed, and adjusted odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals (CI) was computed to identify the presence and strength of association b/n dependent and independent variables. Results: About 258(72.2%) mothers were satisfied with the overall delivery service. Factors associated with mothers’ satisfaction with delivery service includes wanted pregnancy [AOR=1.94, 95% CI: 1.07, 3.52], gave birth at hospital [AOR= 3.45, 95% CI: 1.95, 6.28], Cleanliness of toilet[AOR= 0.07, 95% CI: 0.02, 0.25], listen and answer questions raised by mothers during delivery [AOR= 0.22, 95% CI: 0.07-0.69], spontaneous vaginal delivery [AOR=0.29, 95% CI; 0.11-0.77], pain management during labor[AOR=0.30, 95% CI;0.09-0.97], allowed families to be mothers’ side during labor and child birth[AOR=0.10, 95% CI; 0.03-0.35, availability of maternal waiting room[AOR=0.02, 95%CI;0.01-0.10], providing overall care and support during the time of labor and delivery[AOR=0.16, 95% CI;0.03-0.97] Conclusion: This study revealed that the overall satisfaction of mothers on delivery service was found to be sub-optimal. Pain management during labor, and mode of delivery, providing overall care and support during the time of labor and delivery were independent predictors of maternal satisfaction. Hence, there is a need of an intervention on the independent predictors for further enhancing maternal satisfaction. en_US
