Abstract:
Client‘s satisfaction regarding provided care is thought to be the determinant of quality care. Youth friendly reproductive health service outcomes are dictated by the satisfaction of clients on the service provided. However, enormous efforts made in Ethiopia to improve the satisfaction level of client but still low. Therefore, this study is aimed to assess satisfaction level of Youth friendly reproductive health service and its associated factors among youth attend public health center in West Shoa Zone.
Objective: To assessthe satisfaction level towards youth friendly reproductive health services and its associated factors among youths in westShoa, Zone, Oromia, Ethiopia, 2022
Methods: An institution based cross-sectional study was conducted in West Shoa from Nov 08 to Dec20, 2022, among youth friendly reproductive health service users. Systematic sampling technique was used to get a total of 610 samples. Data were collected through structured self-administered questionnaires and were coded and entered using Epidata version 3.1and then exported to SPSS version 25 statistical packages. Descriptive statisticsandbivariablelogistic regression analysis, those variables with a p-value ≤0.25 were interred into multivariable logistic regression. On the multivariablelogistic regression analysis variables 95% CI at p-value <0.05 were considered as significantly associated with outcome variables. Finally results were presented using text, tables and graphs.
Results: A total of 556 subjects participated in the study by yielding a response rate of 92.1%.The overall client satisfaction was 48% [95%CI :( 47.86%, 49.35%)] of the respondents are satisfied with youth friendly reproductive service. Being Urban Residence, [AOR: 1.489, 95%CI :( 1.103, 2.209)], accessibility of service [AOR: 0.38, 95%CI :( 0.229, 0.500)], age of
respondent[AOR:0.672,95%CI:(0.472,0.915)],Participants whose family had attend secondary school[AOR: 0.374,95%CI: (0.166,0.840)]and long waiting time [AOR: 0.42,95%CI:(0.388,0.914)]were significantly associated with youth friendly reproductive health
Conclusions: The study concluded that the level of youth‘s satisfaction with youth friendly reproductive health service was lowcompared to other studies. Improve long waiting time, increase the accessibility of service (extend the service to all health centers) and educational level of parents are important to enhance the satisfaction level of client toward Youth friendly reproductive health service.
