dc.description.abstract Overweight is defined as excessive fat accumulations that pose a health risk. Aerobic exercise increases energy expenditure and may help with energy balance adjustment for weight loss and maintenance. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of aerobic exercise on overweight adult in Jirra Gymnasium training center adult participant. This study was conducted on Jirraa Gymnasium training center sululta, oromia. The study was carried out for three consecutive months from (February - April 2023). The study design was quasi-Experimental method. Purposive sampling technique was used to select 15 male overweight adults out of 25 which was taken from Jirra Gymnasium training center overweight participant adult. The participant has been given aerobic exercise program at 50-75% an exercise intensity according to the Karvonen formula for 60 minutes a day and for 3 days a week during 12 weeks. The Measurements Vo2max, BMI, resting heart rate and waist circumference of the Jirra Gymnasium training center participant overweight adult have been taken at the beginning and the end of the 12-week aerobic program. Vo2max was calculated by measuring using the maximum heart rate and resting heart rate, The Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated using the weight and height of the subjects (BMI = W/H², where W is weight in kilograms and H2 is height in meters squared), Heart rate was taken using 15 second count at the Carotid artery and waist circumference was measured using a centimeter scale. The data have been analyzed by using the SPSS. V.26.0 statistical package program software. Statistical analyses have been made by using paired sample t-test the mean difference changes from with level of significant at p< 0.05. The subject age was (33.73±3.35 years) and the participant adult Vo2max was increased (34.42±2.52ml/kg/min) to (36.38±2.83 ml/kg/min, p value=0.00), the subject study BMI was redaction (27.32±1.19kg/m2) to (26.90±1.15 kg/m2, p value=0.00), the resting heart rate was (81.53±5.71bpm) to (77.20±5.59bpm, p value=0.00) and the WC was decreased (94.47±5.95cm) to (92.80±5.48cm, p-value=0.00).The result show that statically significant (p <0.05) level of confidence. In Conclusion Aerobic exercise of 12 weeks has positive effects on parameters of overweight adults. Finally, further research with a large sample size, a long duration, and a control group is strongly recommended en_US
