dc.description.abstract Unemployment is the condition which is characterized with the incapability of an individual to find a job of any kind. The target population for this study was employed youth who stayed six month and above in the Hora Ayyetu, Yahi Gada and Torban Kutaye, the nature of this study leads towards descriptive research, investigating the assessing the challenge and opportunity of the youth employment with respect to some selected in study area. The majority of respondents were from Yahi Gada which account about 52(37.1) and the majority of respondents were male which was about 93(66.4). About 71(50.7) of the age of respondents was categorized under 25-30. About 68(48.6) percent of youth respondents were married and about 84 (60.0) percent youth respondents were College/ University graduated. The majority youth respondents were government employed which accounts 90 (64.3) percent. The monthly income of youth respondents about 51 (36.4) percent were under the categories of 1001-3000. the majority of the youth employments were participated on Working different skills and art activities, Give attention for the town in different directions, participating in providing service activities, Participating on different Cultural activities, theatre, drama, film, plays, and writing poems, Participating on indigenous culture and Knowledge, Participating on town hygiene/cleaning and working on traffic accidents and Disclose crimes committed and work on law enforcement to solve the social problems. the majority of youth strongly agree with Youth have great contributions in urban development, Political crisis impacting me in participating in participating in urban development of this town and Majority of youth was addicted and using different drugs. The majority of the youth were strongly disagree with Youth are immature to participate on social, economic and political issues of town, Youth unemployment is decreasing and job creations for youth is increasing and concerned stockholders are not equally participating youth in different activities that concerns youth. Current political transformations and increases of stockholder’s participations, Availability of different factories of and agro-flora organizations, increase in youth initiation in participating Urban development and Increase in youth's acceptability at different place and offices are the most important factors that respect the opportunities of youth employments. Therefore, the concerned body and the government give attentions to develop the opportunities of youth employments. en_US
