dc.description.abstract Street food business provides low-cost ready-made meals and employments for the people with low social economic status in developing countries. But the absence of good hygiene practice in the street food vending site is a major concern for consumer. Objective: This study aimed to assess food hygiene practice and associated factors among street food venders in Addis ketema sub city Addis Ababa 2023. Methods: community based cross sectional study design was conducted among 337 randomly selected street food vendors from five woredas of Addis Ketema sub-city from March 1 to March 30 2023. Data was collected using structured interviewer-administered questionnaire and observational checklist adapted from similar studies. Bivariate and multivariate analysis was computed to determine the association between the outcome variables and the independent variables using binary logistic regression model. The strength of association was measured using AOR and 95% CI and a p-value <0.05 considered statistically significant. Result: A total of 337 study participants, participated in this study, making a response rate of 100%. The prevalence of good hygienic practice among street food vendors in Addis Ketema Sub City was 33.2% (95%_ CI: 28.2, 38.3). Food handling Training (AOR; 2.43 95% CI 1.12, 5.27), Food handling knowledge (AOR; 3.44 95% CI (1.60, 7.38), uninterrupted water supply (AOR; 2.52 95% CI 1.37, 4.62), Health professional visit (AOR; 5.42 95% CI (2.90, 10.12) and work experience greater than 1 year (AOR 4.68 95% CI (1.96, 11.14) showed significant association with good food hygienic practice of street food vendors. Conclusion and Recommendation:-Food Hygiene practice of street food vendors at Addis ketema sub city was poor. Training, knowledge, uninterrupted water supply, Health professional visit, and work experience more than1year showed significant association with good food hygienic practice of street food vendors. Training, Adequate and safe water supply and health professional visit may improve hygiene practice of street food vendors en_US
