Abstract:
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is platform that companies use to manage and integrate the
essential parts of their businesses. Many ERP software applications are critical to companies
because they help them implement resource planning by integrating all the processes needed to
run their companies with a single system. Assessing the benefits of ERP system implementations
for organization performance: The case of Ethio telecom, Central Western Region (Ambo)”. To
conduct this study, primary and secondary data were used. The study used Stratified random
sampling techniques. The target population comprised staff, low-level management, middle-level
management and high-level management. The total sample size of the study is 120 respondents
from 171-targeted respondents and first hand, data collected from the respondent through face to-face data collection methodology. The study used mainly quantitative and qualitative data
analysis techniques. The finding explored that ERP is playing a vital role in Organization cost
reduction, Improving resource management process, improving the production cycling,
improving decision making process, facilitates learning and broadens employee, supporting
resource management, improves organization data quality and supporting current and future
business growth plan at high levels. The study also confirmed that ERP system is advancing
Managerial process, strategic process, Operations process and organizations process of the
administrations in general. Based on the study findings, the researcher recommends the study
found out that the organization is highly benefited from ERP system at this time. Therefore,
based the study findings, the researcher concluded that: Implementation of a good and well designed ERP system in an organization has a strong and positive relationship to the
organizational performance and support organizational management process. Based on the
study findings, the researcher recommends a good and well-designed ERP system within an
organization for overall organizational success, since ERP has a strong and positive
relationship with management, operational, strategic, and organizational processes in addition
to improving overall organization benefits.
