dc.description.abstract Background: -Delivery care is the care that is given to mothers at delivery /labor period. Quality of delivery care service is an important aspect of maternal healthcare that is given a priority globally and in developing countries to reduce maternal and neonatal death. There is a paucity of research about the quality of delivery services at public health facilities. Objective: -To assess quality of delivery service and associated factors in public health facilities of Dendi district, Oromia, Ethiopia, 2022. Methods: -Facility-based cross-sectional study design was employed using quantitative research methods, Simple random and systematic random sampling technique was employed to reach study unit. Data collection was conducted from June 1/2022 up to July 30/2022 in selected public health facilities of Dendi district. The study was conducted among 411 clients who delivered at health facilities during the study period. The data was collected using pre-tested interviewer administered questionnaire and structured checklists were used and entered by using Epi data version 3.1 and analyzed by using SPSS version 21.0. Descriptive, binary logistic regression and multiple logistic regression analysis was performed. Result: - For 297 (78.5%) clients partograph was recorded. Overall satisfaction of clients was 276(67.1%). Quality of delivery service was three times more likely as good among those age group 30-39 years as compared to those in the age group of 10-19 years [AOR =2.95,95%CI(2.22-2.95)]. Mothers those educated[AOR=1.24,95%CI(1.22-1.85)] were 1.2 more likely good than those unable to read and write. Conclusion: -in this study poor quality delivery service was observed at all health facilities. The low level client satisfaction could have resulted from the suboptimal services. Thus, it was recommended that the government could take actions for improving facilities capacity and performance of care providers in order to improve quality of delivery service. en_US
