Abstract:
Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is one of the most basic and widely used ferroelectric materials due to
its high dielectric constant and low loss characteristic. The main objective of this study is
investigating the effect of temperature and electric field on the properties of BaTiO3. It was
estimated for parameters such as: remnant polarization (
), spontaneous polarization (
),
coercive electric field ( ) and hysteresis loop area ( ) that was in the experimental
methods in to modeling and simulation by using MATLAB software. The steps followed in this
modeling methods were appropriate modeling functions for each simulation were described.
Next, MATLAB coding was used for each function by setting all of the necessary inputs and
finally, the output result was displayed .The result indicated as the applied electric field
increases; the coercive electric field (
), saturation polarization (
), remnant polarization (
),
and area of hysteresis loop all increase. On the other hand, the coercive electric field (
),
remnant polarization (
), and area of hysteresis loop decrease when the temperature or
frequency rises.
