Abstract:
The main objective of the study was to investigate the Effect of Change Management on Employee Performance the case of West Shewa zone public organization in Ambo town. The study adopted an explanatory research design. Among the population of 658, a total of 238 respondents were selected via purposive sampling technique from West Shewa zone public organization in Ambo town permanent employees to be representative enough for the study. Questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection. Data was collected through close-ended questionnaires. Quantitative data analysis approach was employed. Then, through SPSS version 25, both descriptive and inferential (through correlation, multiple regressions) analysis was made. Accordingly, the major finding of this study reveals that organizational structure, technological change and organizational leadership have positive and significant effect on employee’s performance of West Shewa zone Ambo town public organization. On the basis of the findings, the study recommended that public organization should undertake strategic change management, focus on organizational structure, technological change and organizational culture and there must be a balance between these aspects to improve the performance of employees
