dc.description.abstract Women leadership is vital for development and political development, for this reason, many gender policies were adopted internationally and nationally. Ethiopia is one of the African countries that try to promote women leadership in all organizations. The objective of this study was to assess the women leadership practices in case of Ethiotelecom central west region This research approach was used quantitatively and qualitatively. And also descriptive research design was used as well as data analysis was statistically by SPSS 24with tables and figures such as mean, frequency, and standard deviation. The target population of this study was selected in only five areas to study the women leadership practices in case of Ethiotelecom central west region (Ambo). sampling techniques used for this research was Simple random sampling technique has been used by researcher. From 296 populations 170 respondents were selected by Yamane formula 1967. Data was collected through questioners, interview and Focus group discussion and the collected Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. As survey result showed that the major finding of this study was Managerial not ensure they're responsible in women leadership practices in the office. Women have capable of performing in any type of position like men, even though the position of men and women in the office is not equal. There was discrimination during hiring and promotion to benefit women, Women employees are not equal in numbers to men in managerial positions, and Women employees are unable to coordinate organizational activities and have not flexible working hours in the workplace. Women leadership understating was no problem for the organization, but implementing Women leadership need work, based on finding important recommendation such as; top managements should encourage employees of women’s equally with men. They should enforce central west region Ethiotelecom managements to invite women into position and Women have double responsibility in their home and at their office, as employees, their institutions should be supportive enough to make them successful at leadership position was forwarded as a recommendation. en_US
