Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants that affect soccer players' skill-related physical fitness performance Oromia league male football clubs, the west Shoa zone, Ethiopia. A descriptive survey method was used to conduct the research in three (3) football clubs in the west Shoa zone.The study was conducted on the West Shoa Zone of Oromia league football clubs, namely: Bako football club, Gedo football club, and Ginchi football club. The study sample was the entire population and the subjects consisted of three(3)Oromia league football clubs in the west Shoa zone. The study population of the total subjects of players N = 75, 6 coaches, and 3 town administrations were incorporated into this study. The data was collected from subjects through a questionnaire, an interview, and observation. The collected data was analyzed by the software of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23.0. The descriptive statistics encompass the frequency and percentages that were employed in this study. In addition to this, charts and tables were employed to illustrate and elaborate based on the results of records. The study's finding indicates that there is a lack of scientific training in the club. In the clubs, there is a lack of a balanced diet during training and competition. Lack of facilities and equipment during training as well as the players' payment each month also not motivate players to enhance their performance and these all were affected the skill-related physical fitness performance of the Oromia league of West Shoa. Based on the finding the researcher recommends that all coaches expected to follow scientific footballtraining methods, each club expected to provideproper nutrition for the football players, adequate facility and equipment and all the coaches have to use football skill related physical fitness training methods in their football clubs.
