dc.description.abstract Introduction: - Non-pneumatic anti-shock garment is a first-aid device that reverses hypovolemic shock and decreases obstetric hemorrhage. Even though the use of non pneumatic anti-shock garment can stabilize the patient while awaiting transport, during transport or during delays in receiving care at referral facilities. There are limited study on Non Pneumatic Anti Shock Garment utilization in Ethiopia in general and West Shoa zone in particular. Objective: - To assess the utilization of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment and associated factors for management of postpartum hemorrhage among obstetric care providers in public health facilities of west Shoa Zone, Oromia, Ethiopia, 2021. Methods: - Facility based Cross-sectional study was conducted among 391 obstetric care providers. Stratified sampling technique was used to stratify as Hospitals and Health Centers. By using lottery method, 4 Hospitals and 46 health center was selected. Pre-tested and structured self-administered questionnaires were used to collect the data. Data were cleaned, coded and the Statistical package for social sciences was used for analysis. Variables with a p-value of <0.25 in the bivariate analysis were the candidate for multivariate logistic regression. In multivariate logistic regression, odds ratios and their 95%CI were used to test the strength of association, and statistical significance was declared at the p-value of < 0.05. Results: - This study revealed that 111 (29%) 95% CI: (24.7, 33.6) of respondents had utilized non-pneumatic anti shock garment for management of post-partum hemorrhage. Having adequate knowledge (AOR=2.66, 95%CI, 1.4,5.02), favorable attitude (AOR=2.34, 95%CI=1.19, 4.59), receiving training on NASG (AOR=3.25, 95%CI=1.8, 5.84) and number of non-pneumatic anti shock garment available (AOR=2.9, 95%CI, 1.2, 7.06), available of Basic Emergency Obstetric & New Born Care guideline (AOR=3.48, 95%CI, 1.94, 6.26) were significantly associated with the utilization of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment. Conclusion:-The utilization of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment for the management of postpartum hemorrhage was low in the study area. Adequate knowledge, favorable attitude, taking training, available of guideline and number of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment available were factors associated with Non pneumatic Anti-Shock Garment utilization. Obstetric care providers should be trained on how to use this important garment. en_US
