Abstract:
The textile industry faced major environmental issues as a result of its massive wastewater
discharge and highly colored effluent with a high organic content colored effluent. The main
objective of this research was to see how well Nickeloxide nanoparticles- Nanocellulose( NiO NC) nanocomposite photocatalytic degradation of organic colors performed.To remove Eison
yellow (E.Y)standard heterogeneous photocatalysis, with and combination of Advanced
oxidation process photocatalysis procedures was examined.
NC precursor was made from biological sustainable cellulose extract from sugarcane bagasse
waste, and NiO nanoparticles were synthesized by reduction technique of from nickel nitrate
hexahydrate. Optimization were done initial dye concentration, catalyst dose, pH, reusability,
and irradiation time. Color removal was monitored using Uv-visible spectral analysis.
Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) examined the morphology of all the synthesized
nanoparticles. The FT-IR result showed the presence of functional groups expected in
nanocellulose extract ,prepared Nickeloxide nanoparticle and its composite of Nickeloxide nanocellulose. Furthermore, good coordination of functional groups with the synthesized NPs
was observed as it displayed a red-shift of absorbance peaks of XRD. The system was operated
the three operating material photocatalytic degradation of NiO, NC and NiO/NC for removal
of Eison yellow dyes.
The over all degradation were able to achieve NiO,78.6%, NC 62.5%, NiO/NC 99.31%
efficiency of photo catalytic degradation of E.Y dye. Maximum removal efficiencies were
recorded with NiO/NC the increased removal efficiency was found to be highly related to the
combination of NiO/NC in appropriate. The results of this study showed the potential
application of the system using NiO/NC for the treatment of dye containing waste water.
