dc.description.abstract Background:- Husband involvement in institutional delivery refers to the direct assistance provided by men to improve their partners‟ health through the labour, and Delivery period. Even if different intervention have been done regarding to husbands‟ involvement to increase their involvement, the evidence of study results in northern Nigeria and Farta district, Northwest Ethiopia revealed that more than 25% and 8.3% of women respectively delivery at home due to the influence of their husbands resisting to go to health facility at time of childbirth. Objective:- To assess the magnitude of husband involvement in institutional delivery and associated factors among fathers who have children less than one year of age in Meta Robi District, West Shoa, Oromia, Ethiopia, 2021 Methods:- Community based Cross-sectional study design was conducted. Total 335 husbands whose wives gave at health facility in the last 12 months were selected by simple random sampling from 26 kebeles in Meta Robi District. Data collection tools were structured questionnaires which were prepared after reviewed relevant literatures. After data collection, data were entered to epi data 3.1 and were exported to SPSS version 21 for data analysis. Data were presented in tables, graphs frequency percentage. Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR), 95% Confidence Interval (CI), both bivariable and multivariable logistic regression were used to identify associated factors and also p-value <0.05 was computed to identify significance of association. Result:- A total of 318 respondents participated in the study yielding a response rate of 95%. Proportion of husband Involvement in Institutional delivery was 34.2%. Educational level [(AOR= 0.157, PV= 0.001, 95% CI (0.051-0.485)] was statistically associated for husband involvement in institutional delivery. Conclusion:- Husband involvement in institutional delivery was at 95% CI (1.605- 1.709). Educational level was the statistically associated factors for husband involvement in institutional delivery. en_US
