dc.description.abstract Employee Job satisfaction refers to that job related activities expected of an employee and how well employees deliver on them. Employee job satisfaction is associated with how people perceive, think, and feel their jobs. The main objective of this study is to investigate the determinants of employee’s job satisfaction in Ejersa Lafo public sectors. The mixed approach, both qualitative and quantitative approach is used in order to meet the objectives of the study on determinants of employee job satisfaction. Out of 453 the total employees of 32 sectors, 202 employees were selected as sample size using simple random sampling technique. The study utilized cross-sectional in the logic that all relevant data were collected at a single point in time. The primary instrument used for gathering data for the study is the questionnaire. The questionnaire were designed in open and close ended patterns and administered. The results of the study were analyzed using percentages, mean and standard deviation. The findings of the study indicated that demographic socio-economic variables have positive correlation ships with job satisfaction of employees. In addition the job satisfaction indicators significantly correlated with job satisfaction of employees. The overall test (ANOVA test) showed career progress, good pay and benefit, work condition and environment, relationship with coworkers, good supervisor /leader statistically significant predictors of employees’ job satisfaction. Further the result of multiple linear regression revealed that pay and benefit, work condition, environment, good relationship with co-workers, good supervisor are statistically significant except career progress. The study indicated that the respondents are not fully satisfied with their nature of job. In order to enhance the organization should look further in the nature of the job that may affect employees’ attitude and pave the way to make positive changes and improve employee attitude for a higher job satisfaction. en_US
