dc.description.abstract The main purpose of this study was the comparison of health related physical fitness test between Awaro and Future Generation Hope school students. The study employed comparative research design. From grade 12 male and female 414 total populations, 70 sample students were selected with the age of 17-20 used. Where, From this reason, out of total population of two school students’ from Future l88, students and 226 Awaro students the researcher took 70 by stratified random sampling technique to recruit them. Physical fitness test results of the selected fitness variables were taken from both groups. Cardio respirator fitness was measured using 12 minute run test, Body Composition variables were tested by BMI, Muscular endurance were tested using 1minute sit up test, Muscular strength were measured by using Wall-sit test, and flexibility were measured by sit and reach test. The data collected from the study subject was analyzed using SPSS version 20 software. By using independent sample t-test the mean differences/changes from test results of the variables and Pearson correlation with level of significant at 0.05. The mean values of the test results for cardio vascular endurance for the Awaro secondary school students were 1846.3158m and Future Generation Hope,1856.8750m, at SD, 291.57931m and 418.05570m respectively. There is a mean difference between the two groups at 10.5592m. with this difference, and their significant were at (.902) and (.905m) respectively. This indicates that there is almost no mean difference between the two groups at degree of freedom 68. The mean values of the test results of one minute sit up test for the Awaro secondary school, were 20.2368sec and FGH, 19.9375sec, at SD,3.30793sec and 3.44484 sec respectively ,there is a mean difference between the two groups at 0.3. with this difference, and their significant at (.712) and (.713) sec respectively. This indicates that there is almost no mean difference between the two groups at degree of freedom 68.The mean values of the test results of sit and reach test for the Awaro, were 14.1842 cm and Future Generation Hope ,27.7813cm, at SD, 4.57877cm and 9.0544 cm respectively, there is a mean difference between the two groups at 13.5971. With this difference, and their significant at (.000) and (.000) sec respectively. This indicates that there is almost no mean difference between the two groups at degree of freedom 68. The mean values of the test results of body mass index for the Awaro, were 21.7568 kg/m2 and FGH,23.6131 kg/m2, at SD,3.15233 and 2.90699 kg/m2 respectively, there is a mean difference between the two groups at 1.8562 kg/m2 with this difference, As result of this, the mean (1.8562) on the body mass index test show that there is obese class level by their tests Finally, the researcher concluded that the comparison of health related physical fitness components have a significant difference on FGH and Awaro secondary school students’ in Ambo town grade 12th students. en_US
