This study focused on human resource planning practice in selected private bank in Ethiopia. The
descriptive survey design was used for data collection. Data were generated through personal
interview and survey questionnaires. The sample size of this study was censes survey that means
the researcher used all staffs employee which available at head office level 54 total population and
the sampling methods of this researcher was used censes method as well as the research design for
this study is descriptive research design. The interview and questionnaires were prepared and
conducted to management and other staff of the organization to collect whether the human
resource planning is aligned with the overall strategic business plan or not and to assess the
existing human resource planning practices to guide the implementation of human resource needs
in the organization. The result of this survey was analyzed using descriptive statistics which made
use of frequency and percentages with the help of SPSS version 25. And a qualitative data were
used using an interview with Top, middle and low level management. The results of the study
reveal that Awash Bank HR and management staff have sufficient experiences HRP practice on
how to implement HR polices also using human power and considering factor, challenges
management, on how to link human resource planning with bank Strategic plan development that
the bank objective and goals also address its mission and vision using resource of human power.
Based on the findings, therefore, a recommendation for Awash Bank management towards an
effective implementation of technological development and change as factor effect human resource
planning practice. Thus, it is recommended that Awash Bank should give careful attention to
technological Development & changes which had a significant effect on its practice. It not only
helps achieve the business goals but also optimizes the work processes. It has been conventionally
proved that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in HRP practice can greatly
contribute to the fulfillment of personnel policies of the organization. Technological advancement
can have a huge impact on the HR department of the Banks. It allows the Bank to improve its
internal processes, core competencies, relevant markets and organizational structure as a whole. |
