Abstract:
This study factors affecting employee’s turnover on public sectors the case of Ejersa Lafo Woreda with the
objectives of investigate the most factors that are affecting employee’s turnover. The study adopted a
descriptive and explanatory research design and mixed research approach was used to describe the
situation. Simple random sampling was used to select respondents and data gathered from both primary
and secondary sources. Thus, questions, interview, and document review and focus group discussion were
used to gather the data. Throughout our literature review we were able to find out four important factors
pay level, Job dissatisfaction, Leadership, Work environment that affects employee turnover on public
sectors in Ejersa Lafo Woreda the most. Method of data analysis through which we distributed a
questionnaire among 202 employees of the Ejersa Lafo Woreda public sectors from the total of 565
employee population working on Ejersa Lafo Woreda on sectors. The analyses of the descriptive statistics
and inferential statistics of multiple linear regression revealed that the respondents expressed average level
Pay level. Job dissatisfaction, Leadership and Work environment they were dissatisfaction on the practice
of their respective public sectors. The correlation analysis results have shown that Pay level. Job
dissatisfaction, Leadership and Work environment have perfect positive relationships with employee
turnover. Using statistical analysis I find out that pay level, Leadership, and Work environment were have
a positive relationship and significant effect on employees turnover and job dissatisfaction have negative
relationship and significant factors based on beta value. They were considered effect of significant and
have a positive relationship with employee turnover. Therefore, the study were low pay level, job
dissatisfaction, lack of qualified leadership and poor work environment were causes and effect for
employees turnover on public sectors in Ejersa Lafo Woreda and the major factors that influence on
employees turnover on public sectors in Ejersa Lafo Woreda was pay level depend upon the descriptive
statistics and regression. Government should be create a policy through which all employees are treated
equally and increase the amount of employees payment, Woreda Administration and Management of public
sectors should consider pay level, qualified leadership, fulfill the office material and create comfortable
work environment, and promotional opportunities, work itself as an important factor while designing the
job, setting promotional policies and improve high rate of employees turn over on public sectors in Eje
