dc.description.abstract This study was conducted in west shoa public sectors, oromia regional state of Ethiopia concerning the effect of leadership practices on organizational performances of public sectors. The purposes of this Was to examine Effect of Leadership Practices on Organizational Performance of Public Sectors, in case of west shoa zone administration, Oromia regional state of Ethiopia. The independent variable of this study were identified as modeling the way, inspiring shared vision, challenging the process, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart and effect of organizational Performance is the dependent variable. This study applied qualitative and quantitative research approach as well as descriptive and explanatory design. Secondary and primary sources of data collected through interview and questionnaire from the respondents and finally the collected data were analyzed by specific method of descriptive, and inferential analysis applied according to its necessary. Survey was conducted to the selected target populations of 131. In order to collect primary data self -administered questioner and interview were designed and employed through simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques Findings, modeling the way in the department impacted positively on leadership practices, inspiring shared vision positively affected leader ship practices at the organization, the Pearson’s correlation coefficient indicated that, there was a positive correlation and significantly related between leadership practices and challenging the process with the correlation figure of 0.545, p<0.000, and as the results of the study indicated enabling others to act in the department impacted positively on leadership practices. The researcher recommended that sharing experience intra employees should be available to create harmonious working environment friendly relation among workers, the custom of take feedback as the constructive idea should be practice among the staffs as well as the organization, the implantation of BPR, SIP and BSC implemented in reality, and In order to minimize the challenges, face the organization as well as reduce employees turnover the office should create harmonious working condition for the staffs, make civil servants to be real public servants by giving different training, allocate enough budget for the sectors in order to reduce rumor and make employees energetic to their job assignment, solve any disagreement with discussion rather than take any penalty action en_US
